Foundation for Child Protection,
at Muskaan

Foundation for Child Protection- Muskaan is an NGO working to prevent Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) and help survivors since the year 2000. Muskaan is the only initiative in Pune whose entire focus is on the critical issue of CSA, addressing it with a multidisciplinary approach, involving prevention, case work , counselling, police support, legal aid , healing Services and community intervention. We focus not only on children, but on all involved stake holders , viz.,parents, relatives, teachers, police , lawyers and child protection agencies. We also work with children staying in Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in need of care and protection as well as children in conflict with the law at Observation Homes to expedite the process of rehabilitation and restoration of their lost childhood. Free legal aid- Our In-house lawyer and the dedicated law firms provide free legal assistance to CSA survivors till the judgement is given. They also prepare survivors for court appearances and support public prosecutors to handle the cases. Currently they are assisting 97 cases of CSA survivors legally.
